The all-wheel drive (AWD) model gets 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The Taos has a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 177 horsepower. The Taos has one of the most spacious cargo holds in the subcompact SUV class. Models with front-wheel drive can fit 27.9 cubic feet of stuff behind the rear row, and there’s 65.9 cubic feet of room with the rear row folded.
